Nail Art
I haven't had the time to work on jewelry lately, but I've been experimenting with how I'll do my nails for prom, and since this is a craft blog, I actually have something to post. This first one was an experiment with painting thin lines. I figured out that since I'm very right-handed, i have to move my hand rather than the brush when I do my right hand.
This is the one I'll be wearing for prom. It goes very well with my dress (which is red). The flowers are real pieces of Queen Ann's Lace, glued on with two coats of clear nail polish.

Flower Ring
So guess how I made this? Nail polish! Who'da thought? It's a small section of a Queen Ann's Lace Flower, painted on a ring from Hobby Lobby with nail polish. I'll be making more just as soon as I can get to Hobby Lobby again!

Even more nail polish pendants
Since my life is insanly busy right now, I'm posting more easy projects. I do actually have a four-day weekend this weekend, so I will actually be spending some time on jewelry, so I hope that will help you forgive me for my recent boring posts.
...And I just realized I forgot to crop these, but I don't have the time to crop and re-upload, so ignore any random stuff on the side.

Another Flower Pendant
Hey everyone, it's been kind of a busy two weeks. I'll try to get some variety in my posts soon, but for now I'm posting easy stuff.

Flower Pendants
These pendants include 3 layers: a bottom layer of colored nail polish, some sort of flower, and as much clear nail polish as I can pour on top. It flattens/shrinks as it dries, so you can feel the texture of the flower, but the flower is still well protected. I like the end result; it's an unexpected version of resin.
My next post will hopefully be a video tutorial either of nail polish pendants or model magic earrings, so it'll be a few days before I post again.

Peace Sign Pendants
My weekend project was something I haven't tried before. The peace signs are circles I cut from a leaf with a knife, and they are coated with nail polish. I think I'll try some dried flowers next...
